World Expo 2010 - Shanghai

third day kat Shanghai ni, we all ke World Expo 2010... organizer dah informed yang kena bersedia dengan crowded, standing for long hours and etc... dengar macam tu je buat I rasa tak nak pegi... rimas... hehehe... tapi, disebabkan event nih once in a life time... redha jer lah... dari malam tu lagi asyik berdoa jer supaya dipermudahkan segala urusan... pagi tu dalam 0700 dah bertolak dari hotel dengan bas... ingatkan nak terus ke expo rupanya ke subway... reason : parking kat expo tu sangat pack... dah sampai subway, kena beratur dekat 2 jam okeh... dengan security check and etc... ticket arrangement... (180 yuan per single entry = RM 90 sekali masuk) dengan cramp cam sardine dalam subway... at last 0930 lebih baru sampai expo... gilest + benci + terpaksa... ;p little info on the expo :
Expo 2010, officially Expo 2010 Shanghai China (simplified Chinese: 中国2010年上海世界博览会; pinyin: Zhōngguó Èrlíngyīlíng Nián Shànghǎi Shìjìe Bólǎnhuì) is being held on both banks of the Huangpu River in the city of Shanghai, China, from May 1 to October 31, 2010. It is a World Expo in the tradition of international fairs and expositions. The theme of the exposition is "Better City – Better Life" and signifies Shanghai's new status in the 21st century as the "next great world city". The expo Logo features the Chinese character 世 ('world', Chinese "shì") modified to represent three people together with the 2010 date. It is the most expensive Expo in the history of the world's fairs. The Shanghai World Expo is also the largest World's Fair site ever at 5.28 square km. More than 190 countries and more than 50 international organizations have registered to participate in the Shanghai World Expo, the largest ever. China expects to receive almost 100 foreign leaders and millions of people from across the world to come and visit the World Expo. More than 70–100 million visitors are expected to visit the expo, which would make it the most visited in history.
tengah beratur nak masuk subway...
at last baru sampai expo @ 0930+
bila sampai dan bertenang... aktiviti adalah free sampai 1600 jumpa balik kat tempat kitaorang berpecah... mula-mula tu I fikir apalah nak buat sampai petang kat sini... so, we start to split ourselves into smaller group... 1st target we all nak ke Australia Pavilion... note: to move around, we need to be guided by maps... or else you'll be easily lost!!!.. manusia sangatlah ramai... from statistics, half a million people visited the expo everyday... masa sampai aussie pavi tu, we all just follow with the flow... memang ramai... and you have to line up to enter the pavilion.... guess what?? dekat 2 jam baru dapat masuk.... same goes to other pavilion as well including Malaysia... so, dari pagi sampai petang we managed to enter only 5 pavi.... :( which was aussie, malaysia, indonesia, china-main interest sebab host and lastly nepal... some other country punya pavi lagi dahsyat... 5 hours queue to enter Republic of  Korea...gilest! apapun, masa kat Malaysia pavi... I dapat makan nasi lemak ngan satay.... akhirnya setelah 2 minggu tak dapat makan sambal/ pedas! walaupun mahal nak mampos... nasi lemak 30 yuan = RM15, satay 4 cucuk 30 yuan = RM 15, air mango 20 yuan = RM 10... ku redha... hehehe... FYI, each pavi exhibited country specialties, attraction places, success, culture, food and etc...
@ Europe pavilion
inside Aussie pavilion - one of attraction
Malaysia pavilion - feel proud of!
nasi lemak + satay yang mahal!!!
china pavilion - one of the biggest pavi... host la katakan...
Republic of Korea pavilion - beratur 5 jam nak masuk okeh!!!
dari pagi ke petang tu memang nak tercabut kaki rasanya... penat jangan cakaplah... tu baru 5 pavi, ada lagi lebih 170 pavi tak sempat gi... that's why organizer dah brief that it's require 2 weeks untuk habis pusing satu expo... anyway, a few tips before you go to the expo :
  • advisable not to bring your passport, large amount of money, valuable things - very crowded and anything might happen - leave in the safety box @ hotel
  • empty bottle - liquid more than 100ml was not allowed during security checkpoint... bring empty bottle as there are many station for you to fill drinks/ water in the expo
  • umbrella - as it was summer... temp might goes up to 40C
  • walk as fast as you can... do not stuck at one pavi too long...
  • get this valuable souvenirs 1st... world expo passport... get stamp/seals at every country you've visited as if you already visited them for real!!!- a very rare document and a great momento of the tour...
pic googled
bought this mascot for aireen...
