sambung balik cerita China... after a week travel to Xi'an and Shanghai... all of us were back to Beijing... ntah la, tapi rasa macam "I'm home" maybe sebab lebih selesa stay in Beijing compared to any other place... the next day which fall on Saturday... we had a whole day lecture... maybe because of the tight schedule, the organizer had to squeeze the lecture even on weekend... btw, ahad tu we were given free time... so me and few friends planned to go to Olympic Stadium a.k.a bird nest... we went there by subway which need a transit... from sanyuanqiao station to beitucheng station and transit to olympic sport center station...
@ subway : olympic sport center station
then start monday and the whole week was full of lectures and a few visit... we went to organizer's office (CNRIFFI - China National Research Institute for Food and Fermentation Industries) and also we had two factory visit which 1. Together Beverage Co. Ltd. 2. Beijing Yanjing Beer Group Co. but, after all the visit s and lectures all of us were given task... kena prepare summary report (by country) and present the next monday... but being me yang terlebih rajin... I dah prepare awal masa kat Malaysia lagi... hehehe... just that I need to include a few more slides on events involved in China... so, as tak payah kelam kabut nak buat report, I have more time to go shopping + free weekends to go for visit...hehehe...;) therefore, on that saturday, we all went to Great Wall- most awaited moment! paling rugi kalau dah sampai China tapi tak ke sini... journey from the city to Great Wall was about one and a half hour by bus... masa sampai kat kaki gunung/ bukit... nampak sayup je Great Wall tu kat atas... dalam hati I "sampai ke aku nih kat atas tuh.." jauh beb... tapi nasib baik ada ada cable car...hahaha.... tiket masuk 45 Yuan = RM20+, cable car (go and forth) 65 Yuan = RM30+ ....little info :
The Great Wall of China (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Chángchéng; literally "long fortress" or simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Wànlǐ Chángchéng; literally "The long wall of 10,000 Li ()"[1]) is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in northern China, built originally to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups such as the Xiongnu from the north and rebuilt and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century. Since the 5th century BC, several walls have been built that were referred to as the Great Wall. One of the most famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains; the majority of the existing wall was built during the Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. The most comprehensive archaeological survey, using advanced technologies, has recently concluded that the entire Great Wall, with all of its branches, stretches for 8,851.8 km (5,500.3 mi). This is made up of 6,259.6 km (3,889.5 mi) of sections of actual wall, 359.7 km (223.5 mi) of trenches and 2,232.5 km (1,387.2 mi) of natural defensive barriers such as hills and rivers.
