~Betong, Sarawak~ Part 2

selepas seminggu meeting and workshop di Quality Hotel, KL week after that I seminggu plak meeting & workshop di Bukit Saban Tropical Resort di Betong, Sarawak.. Main agenda is to learn, understand and educate this people in Kg. Manggut the hazardous of this marine toxin in puffer fish (ikan buntal)... Di betong ni siap ada Pesta Ikan Buntal lagi as for them ikan buntal is a delicacy. Same goes to Japanese. But, actually puffer fish is the second poisonous creature on earth. The toxin are able to kill human in minutes... however, the specialty of this Kg. Manggut's people is the way they prepare and cook the fish... so, that's why we went there with hope that from the knowledge that we gain... later we can educate and save human life. We came in quite a big group with different expertise : epidiomologist, food technologist, reseacher on fisheries and marine toxin, medical doctors, health education officers and etc.. eventhough jauh and sangat seksa nak sampai sana... plus stay dalam hutan lagik... at the end, I rasa puas hati cause I can contribute to the community... enjoy some pics during pesta ikan buntal!!

erk...bukan ke haiwan berbisa x bole dimakan...?iskkk..byk persoalan nihhh.

kay : aku tak makan pun... takut. hadi yang makan banyak...gi tanya dia..

kak zue : emi tak tau rasa ikan tu sebab tak berani nak try... diaorg kata ikan tu rasa ala-ala ikan patin tp lagi sedap (berlemak)... kat kg. manggut tu diaorng siang ikan tu bersih2... semua urat2 yang ada darah kene buang... and rebus 3 kali rebusan... kalau still ada racun, lepas makan akan rasa kebas kat mulut, muka, badan bole paralyse... then worst case... meninggal...
